HEAR : Dennis Lloyd : Nevermind
what if I left and it made no sense /
and you tell your friends /
and they hold your hands /
baby, never mind, never mind /
never mind, never mind
One of the most Shazammed songs this week is Nevermind, first released in 2016 it’s been streamed over two million times on Spotify, and after being re-released on Coco Beach Ibiza, Vol. 7 this week was named as one of the songs of Summer 2018 by Time Magazine, so we’re all over it!
It’s by singer/songwriter/musician and producer Dennis Lloyd - his real name is Nir Tibor and he’s originally from Tel Aviv, Israel.
As a kid he played trumpet and taught himself guitar, but because he liked jazz he got bullied at school. He moved to Bangkok at 21 where he chose his new name from the internet, wrote Nevermind, and BOOM! – it’s now a certified mega hit, so it’s on our East Coast Spotify playlist; you can hear it here…
We love googie-eggs; we love ‘em soft boiled, hard boiled, scrambled, poached, in salads, omelettes, pancakes, curries, cakes, quiches and every other which-way!
But – who wants chooks kept in cages? Did you know you can get locally produced free range eggs right here in Townsville?
Saddle Mountain Homestead is up on Hervey Range and provides pastured, free range eggs to a growing number of shops and restaurants around town, with Ingham Road Seafoods the latest to offer these yummo, free range beauties.
You can support local by finding stockists in Townsville, Ayr and El Arish and the cafes and venues that use their eggs on the Saddle Mountain Homestead facebook page right here…
TRY : Peanut
It’s been called ‘Tinder for mums’, while Apple calls it ‘The Mother of all social networks’.
It’s Peanut - the app that connects mothers with similar interests, kids ages and backgrounds is designed to allow mums to swipe their way to make genuine friendships in their area. Created by British mum and tech guru Michelle Kennedy, the app launched in Australia this week, so get swiping – you can get the app here…
